Brown Velvet Ribbon
Instructions:
1. Cut thirteen 2 1/2" x 12" strips of paper from the Nordic Collection Pack. Mist the strips of paper with water using a squirt bottle or the mini mister. Roll the strips into tubes and allow to dry, then ink the edges.
2. Cut the thirteen rolls of paper to size. There are 13 sizes of rolls going from the the largest roll for the bottom of the tree to the smallest on top:
- Roll 1: 8 3/4”
- Roll 2: 8"
- Roll 3: 7 3/4”
- Roll 4: 7"
- Roll 5: 6 1/2”
- Roll 6: 6"
- Roll 7: 5 1/2"
- Roll 8: 4 3/4”
- Roll 9: 4"
- Roll 10: 3 3/4”
- Roll 11: 3"
- Roll 12: 2 1/2”
- Roll 13: 1 3/4"
3. Using the distress ink, lightly stamp the snowflake stamp on different spots on the 12" x 24" cardstock. Also ink the edges.
4. Starting with the smallest piece, glue the rolls of paper to your 12" x 24" piece of cardstock starting about an inch from the top of the 12" side of the cardstock. You want to glue the pieces down in the shape of a Christmas tree. Once all the pieces are glued down, trim down the cardstock leaving about two inches at the bottom.
5. Glue the Welcome Christmas buttons to the rolls of paper to create ornaments on the tree.
6. Cut four strips of cardstock in the following sizes:
- 1" x 7 3/4" (Roll 3)
- 1" x 6 1/2" (Roll 5)
- 1" x 4 3/4" (Roll 8)
- 1" x 3" (Roll 11)
7. For the trunk of the tree, cut four pieces of brown velvet ribbon. Ruffle the ribbon into layers and glue in place.
